The latest container freight index released by ocean freight analysis platform Xeneta shows that after a rare drop in December 2021 and January 2022, long-term contract freight rates rose again in February, with a range of 3.9%. Compared with the same period last year, current freight has increased by 87.9%. Port congestion, increased demand and geopolitical tensions have contributed to this upward trend.
